My Journey
I was born in 1984 in Lima, Peru, and grew up in Germany.
My career in coffee began in 2005 at Tchibo, where, as a coffee sales trainee, I learned the entire process chain from the ground up – from purchasing green coffee to roasting.
After completing my apprenticeship, I spent five years as a green coffee buyer at Tchibo while earning my degree in business administration with a focus on coffee management.
In 2012, I moved to Brazil: as Project Manager and Representative for Tchibo at Ipanema Coffees, I spent two years gaining hands-on experience in coffee farming and export in all its facets.
In 2014, I returned to my birthplace Peru to work as Commercial Director for Volcafe. There, I was responsible for national green coffee procurement, export processes, and social projects. We sourced directly from producers and cooperatives, prepared the coffee for export, and shipped it worldwide. Alongside the trade, we also built and supported school projects with our partners. These years deeply shaped my understanding of producers’ realities and the challenges at origin.
In 2017, I returned to Hamburg and took over the leadership of the newly founded specialty coffee trading company Touton Specialties. Together with my team, we built the product portfolio, established marketing and sales structures, and positioned the company successfully in the European market.
Since 2024, I have been working independently as a consultant – supporting coffee businesses in uncovering their potential and turning it into tangible results.
If you would like to learn more, I'd be happy to have a personal conversation.
